The 1/8" compression endmill bit (also known as an up/down bit) is a unique bit for CNC routers. It allows you to cut finer details and will perfectly cut out your project while leaving both the top and bottom edges of your project clean (eliminates tear-out on top and bottom).

The 1/8" compression bit can cut the entire depth of 1/2" material in one pass.

The 1/8" compression bit (also known as an up/down bit, or compression endmill) is a unique bit for CNC routers. It allows you to carve your CNC woodworking projects AND cut it out while leaving both the top and bottom edges of your project clean (eliminates tear-out on top and bottom).

The 1/8" compression bit can cut the entire depth of 1/2" material in one pass. Excellent for all types of wood, including plywood and MDF.

These are the best bits I’ve found. They cut hard maple easily leaving rice shaped cutoffs - not dust.

Kick Bit - Take Names

I have 10-15 1/8” bits sitting in my bit holder, but when I really need to do work I use my IDC bits. You cannot beat the quality and consistency of the cut.
