Fine Detail 3D Carving Bit For CNC Routers, 1/4" Shank

This bit is excellent for almost any size 3D carve. The benefit...it saves time while still holding great detail in your CNC woodworking 3D projects.

The taper ball nose endmill is the most common router bit for CNC routers when designing finely detailed 3D carvings on your CNC router. The broader 10° angle significantly reduces tip deflection common on shallower angled bits. Also known as a 'carving bit', the 0.09" diameter tip carves your detail while keeping the run time down.

Specs:

  • Shank: 1/4" (6.35mm), Flutes: 2, Length: 2.375" (55mm), Angle: 10 degrees
  • Ball nose radius: 0.045" (1.143 mm), Feed rate setting: 80-120 in/m (35-47mm/s), RPM: 14,000-18,000

When it comes to bits for 3D carving, the fine detail 3D carving bit, also known as a taper ball nose endmill, is the most common router bit for fine detail 3D projects on a CNC router.

This bit is excellent for almost any size 3D carve. Th benefit...it saves time while still holding great detail in your CNC woodworking 3D projects.

The broader 10° angle significantly reduces tip deflection common on shallower angled bits, such as 6°, 5°, or less. Tip deflection can deform the fine details of your 3D carve, making the look 'not quite right'.

Also known as a 'carving bit', the fine detail 3D carving bits 0.07" diameter tip is able to hold the fine detail in your 3D carves extremely well, while keeping the run time down.

Every CNC'er wants to make awesome 3d carves. The fine detail 3D carving bit is the bit to start with. To learn how to set up 3d carves, watch this video.

Worked very well

Got to try the bit today and it did a great job. I was carving a soft wood that tended to create a lot of fuzzys and this bit left very few and left excellent detail. Time will tell how it hold up, but at this point, it seems to be doing the job nicel.

Fine carving bit for fine detail.

Did a great job carving my model. Took about 6 times longer @ 160ipm than an 1\8th" ballnose, but the detail was great.
