The 1/4 round router with a 1/4 shank is a wood-cutting bit for CNC routers and conventional routers. This is the bit that adds elegance to your woodworking CNC project that gives it the extra character to make it stand out. The radius bit will round the borders or letters. The IDC Woodcraft brand 1/4 Round Over Router Bit (a.k.a. rounding bit, radius bit) simplifies the toolpath setup. It is designed to come to a point, instead of having a flat at the bottom. This completely eliminates form-tool setup in your CNC design software. NO OFFSETTING OF THE 1/4 ROUNDING BIT IS REQUIRED!! Just set it up to run on a profile line at 0.245" deep and you end up with a perfect radius that requires minimal smoothing.
