Altmill 4x4

The product is a quality machine. The setup is a task as it comes in multiple boxes after a significant wait period. You are warned of the delay but the wait still is an inconvenience but allows you to prepare the sight, supply electricity supply, setup dust management system, check your bit inventory and get acclimated with the software. Once received the instructions provide you with most of the needed information including pictures and videos. I suggest that you take a couple to 3 days to complete the build. Since setup I have done a host and variety of signage and small jobs over the past month. I have 3 large signs starting this month. No mishaps. One motor was found to be loud. Contacted customer support. They were responsive but I was able to resolve issue on my own. There is no buyers remorse with the purchase of the Altmill, spindle and the controller system.

I up graded from the original longmill machine many years ago when Garrett stood on it convince me of product. I was in the first 120 on list for their new Altmill and waited months until I received it. It was easy to put together really with the video, I have never had a problem with about 400 hrs of running, I do a lot of 3d carving, the cut time has been reduced in half, but the cut time on my about 9 hrs on average, size is 36 x 18 red oak. Where before it was 17 hrs with regular Mikita. It takes time to get us to the speed the machine cut and the amount of wood chips it produces. I would not change to any other type of machine.
