The 1/8" BADGER roughing endmill, coined "The little bit with a BIG BITE", is the bit when you need to remove massive amounts of material in small areas quickly to reduce your run times. Then follow up with a finishing bit. Designed for those who have a lot of detail in their CNC projects.

If you’ve experienced long carve times with your 1/8” bits, or even had them break because they cannot handle the workload, then get ready for this wicked little bit called the “BADGER

The BADGER has been called “The little bit with a BIG BITE”  by our fellow creators who tested it. For a 1/8” CNC router bit, no other 1/8” bit can match its aggressiveness and blazing speed for removing material from your CNC router project.

With a 1/8 shank and 1/8” cut diameter, the BADGER falls into the roughing bit category. The BADGER is not designed to deliver clean cuts. Its sole purpose is speed, and it excels at it!

Featuring a staggering 1/4" depth of cut per pass, 80ipm plunge rate, 70% step-over, and a whopping 130 inches per minute cut rate, the BADGER is undisputed when it comes to rapid material removal from your CNC router woodworking projects.

Comparing to other 1/8” endmills, the BADGER can remove material 10X faster than standard 1/8” endmills

Getting a roughing bit like the BADGER is not just about time savings. It is also about saving your other 1/8” bits for the finishing touch-up AND prolonging the life of them.

By using the BADGER as your workhorse for major material removal, you'll extend the lifespan of your regular CNC router bits. Let them handle the finishing touches while the BADGER handles the heavy lifting when a lot of material needs to be removed in fine details…like Aztec calendars.

Best bits I have found

The feeds and speeds are no lie. Set them where they suggest and go to work. No burn marks or hesitation. Definitely my go to from now on.

The "Badger", more useful than I thought!

When this little cutter first hit the scene, I didn't see much use for it. Afterall, 1/8" diameter and "hogging" material don't go together. Well, this little fella proved me wrong! I recently did an inlay project and when it came time to remove the portions of unwanted material between the inlay details, I gave it a try. The Badger made quick work of gutting out the unwanted portions! I can't wait to see how I can incorporate this more in my CNC journey!

Go to bit

This bit cuts aggressively and cleanly. This is my choice for cutting out patterns on my CNC.

Hungry Lil' Bit

So far, on my old X-Carve 1000 X 1000, using the Dewalt 611 trim router set at 4 on the dial and a feed rate of 80 in/min cutting 0.5" depth in a single pass into a walnut piece 0.75" thick in a 4" x 6" area, the Badger chewed it up in about 2 minutes. Resulting in a BIG improvement over the old 1/8th" roughing bit that usually took16 minutes. Very happy with the improvement. Looking forward to ordering the BEAST and some 3D carving bits next.from IDC Woodcraft.
BTW, I'm a grumpy 76 yo disabled, wheelchair bound Navy Veteran who ISN'T easily impressed so this Badger did make my day. Thanks, Garrett and everyone at IDC Woodcraft.

Badger, Beast, Hog, Ripper

LOVE these cutters. So nice to just get the parts cut out and move on instead of half throttle and burning up bits while humming the theme song to Jeopardy. Crank up the feed speed and get the party started. Then go to the store and download the tool library data base, then watch the live casts, so much information. What a crew, keep it going team :)

CHECK OUT THE BADGER IN ACTION

Watch the badger make quick work of hardwood at unimaginable feed rates for an 1/8" bit.
