Engrave extremely fine (and small) lettering, and on hardened surfaces, such as coated and lacquered materials, or anodized aluminum, with this addition to the diamond drag engraving bit that comes with the 120 degree tip.
For general-purpose engraving on uncoated metal, plastic, granite, or glass, it is recommended to use the 120 Degree replacement tip.
These industrial diamond tips for the WidgetWorks diamond drag engraver are manufactured to last a long time before they wear out because they are made to industrial standards. they have to be because that's who buys them (such as General Motors, Campbell's Soup Canning Division, NASA).
Of course, life of the tip depends on the materials engraved and pressure applied to the tip.
Individual results will vary based on your engraving pressure and the hardness of the material you engrave (brass and aluminum are much less abrasive than glass or granite.)

This tip cannot be used without the spring-loaded diamond engraver.
