All my bits now come from IDC, great bits, reasonable prices and quick delivery with added treats and the added personal touch. Some of the bits I have purchased I have not used yet. My most used bits are the 1/8" & 1/16" O'Flute bits for acrylic... these bits are amazing, very clean cutting. I have used the 1/4" & 1/8" ball nose bits... love them. I have used both taper bits I purchased that IDC offers (.015" & .045"), these are great bits too. I also have the two drill bits they offer (1/4" & 1/8”) ... I have used the 1/4" drill bit... drilled through the wood like butter and fast. I have used extensively the 3/8" keyhole bit... works great. Love the 1.5" surfacing bit I have. Bits I have not used yet include the ultra-clean v-bit set... looking forward to trying these out. I also have both the badger and the beast, not used yet, maybe a little afraid of the power of these two bits. I have the 3/16" compression bit, not used yet.
If I have any wishes... trivial as it may be, I wished the 1/8" ball nose bit came in a 1/4" shank. Pretty weak, right but I usually use the ¼”, 1/8” and taper bits together, one after another… so I need to change collets in the middle of my operations as the taper bits are also ¼” shanks. Oh Yeah, I have the shark tool drawing tool, not used yet but have plans. Also have the muscle chuck... did not like the ¼” to 1/8" collet insert to use with the muscle chuck as it let loose and broke a bit and ruined a job. The muscle chuck works great as a standalone... much easier to use. I think I have other bits from IDC but can't think of them now. I know this was supposed to be a review just for the 1/8" ball nose bit... but overall, they are all great bits. Service is great too... Garrett makes sure his customers are satisfied... I had a missing bit in one of my orders... Garrett quickly replied and sent out the missing bit. So, you can tell, I highly recommend IDC Woodcraft... I will also add they Garrett puts out great videos and has a weekly podcast.
