If you're the type of person who likes to keep a backup on hand, or if you find that your diamond tip is worn or damaged, this 120 degree replacement tip for the spring-loaded Diamond Drag Engraving Bit will keep you up and running.
For general-purpose engraving on uncoated plastic (acrylic), granite, glass, aluminum, brass, and steel. To engrave on materials with hard coatings, it is recommended to use the 90 degree replacement tip.
These industrial diamond tips are manufactured to last a long time before they wear out because they are made to industrial standards. they have to be because that's who buys them (such as General Motors, Campbell's Soup Canning Division, NASA).
Of course, the life of the tip depends on the materials engraved and the pressure applied to the tip.
Individual results will vary based on your engraving pressure and the hardness of the material you engrave (brass and aluminum are much less abrasive than glass or granite.)
Setup information will come with the replacement tip
This tip cannot be used without the spring-loaded diamond engraver.
