The Big Stiffy series 60-degree v-bit for CNC routers is larger, and cuts deeper, than the typical 60 deg v bit. The extra body size lets you maximize your carve time while also leaving a clean cut.
With a 1/4" shank, it is the go-to 60 deg carving v-bit for home-based CNC'ers when it comes to larger projects when you are large v carves and chamfers on your CNC router woodworking projects. The 'super-shear' blade design is designed to leave exceptionally clean cuts at higher feed rates. This is the v bit to use when your v-carved letters are wider than 1/4" wide.

Why is it called the Big Stiffy? Overall, the bit body has more mass and has a slightly shorter shank. This little design modification on your 60 degree v-bit keeps your bit stiffer during cuts, which gives you a 50% improvement in your surface finish. In other words, the potential for chatter is virtually eliminated.
This bit has a carbide blade brazed to a 4140 body.

Very well made, I am just starting in this business, but so far I can tell that this bit is a game changer, very versatile. Great job!
The recent purchased a 1/8, 1/16 down cut quarter inch shank end mills are awesome ! With recommend setting and your chip load calculator, my run times were down by 50 percent, and there was no tear out of the material, which was pine board. The Vbit performed equally as well leaving nice clean edges on a cursive font. It will be nice to have minimal sand.
