I wrote this without contacting Garrett. Once I calmed down I sent an email about the problem with the collet. I had managed to repair it to make it usable, but Garrett sent me another collet to replace the bad one.
Garret has always had great customer service and I feel the review was unfair.
I bought this from here instead of Sienci labs. The last collet from them lasted over a year. This one got stuck and couldn’t get it out after the first use. Bent and unusable.
Makes changing bid from 1/4 to 1/8 much easier and quicker.
It works…..
every Makita router comes with a 1/4" collet. I bought the cribbage board bit and needed to buy the 1/8" collet. I wish the cribbage board bit came in a 1/4" collet size.
